MAKU, which means "weaving shuttle" in Bengali, is a slow fiber movement that uses only hand-spun and hand-woven cloth, the designs of which are realized in collaboration with artisans on their looms.
In this occasion we will be presenting two collections, Midnight Sun, with our whites and natural indigo dyed fabrics, as well as Kurseong, inspired in the town of Kurseong in Darjeeling and the colors of its cooling forests, so much appreciated as an escape to the hot summers in Kolkata.
